Welcome to Camp Thunderbird
Welcome to our family campground, group retreat center, and event venue. Located in the beautiful Gila National Forest in Mimbres, New Mexico.
Fond memories of Camp Thunderbird every year for the Unitarian Fellowship when I was a kid in the 60s. Playing badminton, treasure hunts, swimming in Lake Roberts, the trip to the cliff dwellings, and good food. The wonderful smell of pine still lingers.
Great place for a family camping trip. My family enjoyed the basketball court, playing volleyball and taking a walk along the well-kept property. The campfire spot is inviting. Perfect for smores and storytelling.
